The Grobos
You'll read about the grobos (pronounce with long "o"s) in The Magic Tutu. I realize the description of the grobos being a cross between a wild boar, a pig & a coyote is a little scarey! And I realize saying they travel in packs of three and hunt for kitties is equally scarey! But in reality, the grobos are the coyotes that live in our town (Boulder City) and chase kitties. Too many kitties in our town have become dinner for the coyotes.
I made up the word "grobos" because I didn't want to say anything bad about the coyotes. I realize they have to live too. And they have pups to feed as well. I love the coyotes but I don't like it when they hunt for kitties. So I made up the word grobo to represent not just coyotes, but to also represent anything dangerous that children have to be alert to....including human grobos.
For those of us who live near the desert, the coyote problem is very real. Nowadays Desi & I keep our kitties inside the house unless we're outside with them. Cats love the outdoors and sometimes we feel guilty about keeping them in. But we'd rather keep them inside and alive!
Here's to keeping our kitties safe.
